Drab Post....

Nothing really much exciting to even blog about lately. This past weekend we cleaned out the master closet but now everything that came out of there is in the living room and bedroom - it's amazing how much stuff you can squash into a closet. Trying to purge myself of unused things that just take up space and create clutter.

Hubby and I are working together to look at what we eat and learn to make better choices. We went to the grocery store last night and made fish with steam veggies for dinner, which was really good. We made our own trail mix with almonds, cashews, walnuts, raisins, chocolate morsels and pretzels - I must admit it was very delicious! This is my morning snack and mid afternoon snack. Our exercise plan is to go bike riding a couple times a week. I'm hoping to get positive results!

In scrapbooking news - man I really don't even want to admit this! I haven't scrapbooked in I don't know HOW LONG!! PITIFUL! I did make my BF a birthday card, but other than that I have done more scrapbook shopping than actually making a page. My goal is to get out of this rut and make some pages. I so miss my friends I scrapbooked with in Texas. I must confess... I have become a lazy scrapbooker....

I feel like I'm at confession or something.... Sorry for the drab post, nothing much to chat about.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRINA!!!

Okay today is my BF's birthday. Her and her hubby are on vacation right now so stop off over at her blog and wish her a happy birthday. She will be back on Saturday, so surprise her with a birthday message!!!!
PS Trinas I made that cake for your birthday but wasn't able to ship it, so dh and I went ahead and ate it. It was delicious!!! hee hee (just kidding, I'm not that good at baking!)

Celebrity Siting - Nicole

During the summer this year Katelyn went through some of their old stuff in the closet and found these glass that we bought a few years ago. We bought the glasses and some old purses at a thrift store in Houston and who would of thought that they would be the "in" thing right now! I totally wanted to laugh when Katelyn walked out the bedroom with them on. My first thought was Jackie Kennedy and then I thought of Nicole Richie! When we were at the beach she got plenty of complements from some girls at different restaurants - of couse that just boosted her ego. They were complete huge on her face - gotta love it. Something to really scrap about hee hee!!

Picture with all three kids is on our way to the beach. Remember the truck story, well after we returned from our trip a day later our a/c went out! Woooo... I couldn't imagine driving back from Florida with no a/c and three kids in the back seat. Someone was smiling down on us from Heaven.

The Truck Story

Ending the week with a story from our vacation. We drove my husband's 4-Runner to the beach because we felt like the kids would have more room to move around. We have two keys for the truck, I hardly ever car my key because I don't drive the truck much. So we go to Florida in the truck - can you guess where this is heading? So one morning we go to the beach and get in the water - well... my husband forgot that the key was in his pocket and realized it after he has already totally submerged the key. We pretty much figured the electronic part of the key was shot. We get done hanging out at the beach and shower and clean up. We decide to check out of the place we're staying and find another place to stay. We are lugging all of our luggage, beach stuff and bags to the truck. Dh realizes the automatic doors are not going to work with the key, so he goes to open the truck with the key and the alarm goes off ("HORN BEEPING") ! So we are attracting all this attention because the horn will not stop. It would stop for a moment and then continues on. At this point it's hot, we're all sitting there with all of stuff and hotel security comes by to ask what's going on. So we're able to open the truck, but guess what! We can't start the truck - the security system prevents you from starting the truck. Talk about aggrivating and hot and three kids sitting there looking at Dad. We have some nice samaritians stop and try and give us some advice but nothing seemed to by pass the security system and the alarm is going off non-stop. Steven ends up disconnecting the horn so it will stop - it mutes the noise and all you see is the lights going off. We end up calling the Toyota Dealership there in Panama City for assistance, at first I don't think they realized the urgency of our call - I mean we weren't in our driveway trying to figure how to start our truck, we were in the parklot of a hotel in the middle of the afternoon sweating with three kids. After several calls back and forth with the dealership, they finally found someone who told us how to by pass the system. I wished at the time I had taken a picture of the situation... I know my husband wouldn't of appreciate it and to be honest I was so hot and fustrated the last thing on my mind was to take a picture of the moment. I will know better next time. Now looking back it would of been a good scrapbooking page. I think I will take a picture of my husband's key and use his swimming trunks as the background and journal about it.

Just Rambling

Nothing to really post about other than it's Friday, which means no work for two days, can sleep in tomorrow and do nothing - well... not NOTHING I must do the household chores that I slacked on during the week and I'm sure I will totally hate myself for doing that. Last night I went to Publix's and the dh wanted watermelon, we have been hooked on it this summer. The watermelon last night cost TEN DOLLARS!!!!!!!! If it was up to me I would of passed on the watermelon but the hubby wanted one so bad so I paid the ten dollars and came home and we really enjoyed our ten dollar watermelon. Just insane to pay that much, but was it worth it?? umm.. oh yeah!

Tried out a new restaurant yesterday at lunch with a friend of mine, Street Cafe. It was sooo good. It's a Japanese Restaurant - the menu was very simple - either a bowl or box. I got the Chicken Terikai Box, the box was really neat - if I had my camera I would of so took a picture. The box had the food divided, rice, chicken, a small salad, fried vegetable & two sushi rolls. It was very very good - almost makes me want to go today for lunch.

Lunch today will consist of taking my car to get cleaned. Hubby and I keep saying we are going to clean it and it hasn't happened, so I think I will gladly pay someone else to clean it up. Hopefully it will be sparkling clean and the inside looking good - can't stand driving a dirty car.

Ending this Friday with this picture of the kids. Christian just cracks me up - the boy doesn't realize when he's older he's going to look back at these pictures and think what was I doing? My girls look like they belong to a Swim Team.

It is in deed Wednesday

I had to actually look at the calendar to see if it was Wednesday or not - I was hoping it was so that half of the week is over but then I couldn't remember. It's been a crazy week thus far at work. So I'm pleased to say today is in deed WEDNESDAY!!!

I'm sitting here at my desk at 11:45 scarfing down my lunch (sounds so lady like doesn't it??) - can you say yummmmmmm Last night I made tuna pasta salad and brought it to work today. So good, I am enjoying it very much - sure beats going out for fast food which seems to be Taco Bell for me lately. I'm hooked on Taco Bell - I love the Nacho Supreme or the Crunch Wrap. Good thing it's cheap - that's the way I justify it in my mind hee hee. I do think I added abit too many onions to my pasta salad, but it's still good. I need to put up a hazard sign at my desk for anyone who enters! I may just scare them off with my foul breath! I need to bring a tooth brush to work to help in times like this.

I had a good friend of mine a few weeks ago call me from Houston - who I miss LOTS!! We were talking about haircuts and I was telling her I just got mine cut and didn't really like it. Well, she went on to tell me the difference between a good hair cut and bad is two weeks. Well, my two weeks have come and gone and I still absolutely hate it! So my brilliant idea the other morning was to trim the bangs abit - their long and brushed to the side. Okay no laughing from this point on..... My hair was wet and you would of thought I would of learned this mistake from 9th grade when I did the exact same thing but I went to trim them abit. I start blowing drying my hair and it's like the freaking bangs strunk up like one inch! So these "long" bangs that I have are no longer in existance people! I have bangs bangs that hang like just above the eyebrows! I never seem to learn! I hate them, so not only do I have to deal with a haircut that I hate, I have just completely added a new style to it - bangs which only makes it worse! So I will give it some time and allow these bangs to grow out abit and then find a new hairdresser!

Well... I leave you with some photos - haa haa no photos of the bangs that is. Just some more photos of the kiddos! Okay no photos right now, I can't get them uploaded to blogger.

Ranger

This is Lauren with her Ranger - an Armadillo with "Don't Mess with Texas" on it! She slept with him every night, she even took him to Florida with us. We bought Ranger two years ago and she finally named him this year Texas "Ranger". We have a funny story about Ranger but I don't think writing it will really get the punch line across but it's a funny memory we will remember.

The Cook

This is the cook speaking now... I did so much cooking while the kids were here. I basically cooked every night - sometimes two times a day because I felt like I should cook a nice breakfast. I totally became the master of bacon. For some reason now that I have a electric stove I just can't seem to stop burning my bacon but with all the practice over the past three weeks I can make it to prefection! I think I must of cooked four packs of bacon while the kids were here! Does it look pretty - can't you tell I'm proud! :-)

I never did so much cooking, laundry and cleaning all in one day. When I was home with the kids and not the Dad, I told them a new sheriff was in town. In the mornings they couldn't turn the tv on unless they made their beds and cleaned up their rooms. The end of the evening they had to pick up all their stuff that was all over the house - it's amazing how they can just let it fall where ever it lands. I did so much laundry I could probably do it in my sleep. I had to watch out for Ms. Lauren because if she wore it no matter how short of a time it landed in the dirty clothes! I would go in her room each evening and clean out the hamper. I was told by Lauren that I must love to cook because I cook big homeade meals every night for dinner - that made me feel good even though she didn't like everything I cooked.

More random posts....Christian

Well, blogger isn't cooperating with me and I can't seem to load several pictures in a post. So there may be several entries to by pass that.

Well this guy is a sweetie! He's eleven but if you ask him he's twelve and Lauren will tell him he's not. His birthday isn't for a few weeks, but he seems to go ahead and consider himself the next age. I totally did that growing up as well - I think we all did. Each night I would cook a dinner and he would not complain one bit about it. He told me that he just learns to eat whatever is in front of him - I just had to laugh. Of course I was told how their Mum did it and how mine was different etc... but that's okay. He liked his room and enjoyed staying in it to play his playstation and watch his movies. Every now and then I would see him sneak around the corner and smuggling food in the room but he would forget to hide the dishes or smuggle them out. He didn't cooperate with the camera this year, he would hid his face and with my digital camera and the delay I seem to always get the back of his head. He wore his hate alot so when he saw me taking some photos he would just tilt his head down. I guess that's a typical boy for you.

Even though he's getting older he still is that little boy who likes to hold you hand while shopping and just sit next to you. I'm sure he will get to the age that it's just not cool to walk around with your parents.

While they were here I rent the seasons of Smallville so we would sit and watch that during the days. I'm totally hooked and I have one more season to watch and I'm all caught up!

MIA - that's me!!

Man it's been awhile since I've posted. So much going on and so little time to get it done. Work has been hectic since I've been back from my two week vacation. I have three more additional jobs so that's keeping me busy. It's taken me so long to get on here because I keep thinking to myself I have so much to share but where to begin!

The visit with the kids was great! We had such a great time and they really enjoyed themselves. We ended up going to Panama City, Florida - the beaches and water were amazing. I had so much fun. We all voted that next year we will stay for a week. They have so much to do for families, water park, bowling, movies, miniature golf and some other stuff. I don't even know where to begin. I almost feel like I'm having a mental block. Each night I lay in bed and think about the time the kids were with us and all these memories run through my mind. I tell myself to get my lazz butt up and start writing them down so I can put them in my scrapbook - it's not happening **Shame on me**. At the beach the kids thought they wouldn't get in the water at all, they were like I'm not going in there but once we got in they had fun. Lauren didn't care for it because the water was so clear you could see the fish swimming around you feet and you could feel them nibbling on you. I must admit a few times I catch myself looking over my shoulders - I had this fear of a shark coming up - I know that sounds totally crazy and I had to convince the kids that there weren't any but at the same time part of me had their same fear.

My posts are going to be totally random because that's how it all seems to be in my head right now so please forgive all the jabber you are about to encounter! It may not even be in any kind of order either!

First let me share some photos of the beach.
